Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas made her much-anticipated arrival in Miami, today, and our South Florida offices welcomed her to PortMiami in style. More than 50 years ago we made history when we introduced one of the world’s first purpose-built cruise ships,Song of Norway, right here at PortMiami. Here we go, again, making history with a ship that is the culmination of everything we have learned over more than 50 years of delivering the best vacation experiences responsibly. The only thing we like better than innovating the ultimate vacation experience is fulfilling the ultimate vacation experience for our guests.Icon of the Seasushers in a new era of family vacations and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard.

I am a 7 language teaching professional and a past cruise ship waiter. I lost my job because of contactiong a guest who promised me a better life and than stabbed me on the back as she turned out to be a perverse....and I did not leet her needs... she reported me immediately..MSC decided not to rehireme as this happened during my vacation.. I would offer a huge prize for anyone who might help me get hired by Royal Caribbean even as a utility clerk or Crew mess cleaner which was not pleasable for many but would please me as I am on land like a fish out of water.. I cannot live on land I was since childhood a fisherman travelling for fishing and life on ships is like living in heaven for me. I would accept even volunteering contract as a test for my professionalism..

Congratulations on this monumental achievement. My wife and I were on Wonder OTS in September and loved it. We are big fans of cruising, and Royal does it best. We have two more planned over the coming months, and we are eying a trip on Icon OTS as well. I am in the procurement and surplus fields with a county government. An idea I've had in the back of my mind for a couple of years is to one day pair something I'm passionate about, cruising, with my professional skillset and come work in procurement with Royal Caribbean. Maybe one day.

Que emoção, Que alegria, que experiência. Eu vendo esse Icon of the seas, vem as lembranças de quando fiz parte da tripulação do Oasis of the seas, desde estaleiro em Turku - Finlândia até Miami, em 2010.

Today, we took delivery of yet another game-changing Oasis Class ship, Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas. This ship is the first of its kind to debut with 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways – what we’re calling the ultimate weekend vibes sailings. A recent consumer survey we conducted highlighted the growing demand for short getaways – and more frequent short getaways – to combat the stress resulting from the rapid pace of our lives. We were already in progress on raising the bar for short vacation experiences with Utopia of the Seas. This delivery caps off a milestone week for us that included events for two more new ships in our fleet -Silversea’sSilver Raynaming ceremony andCelebrity Xcel’s keel-laying ceremony. We are laser-focused on delivering a variety of vacation options and priceless memories for our guests, as we pursue our mission to deliver the best vacations responsibly.
