✨ Happy March & Women's History Month! ✨As we celebrate Women's History Month, I find it crucial to highlight the significance of women's autonomy over their bodies. In the realm of healthcare, championing the right for women to make decisions about their bodies is not just a cause but a fundamental human right. Every woman deserves the autonomy to make informed choices about her health, free from external pressures and judgment.🔍 Why it matters:Empowerment: Every woman deserves the power to make informed health choices.Informed Decisions: Autonomy leads to better health decisions and outcomes.Reproductive Autonomy: The ability to decide when and how to build a family is a cornerstone of personal autonomy.Breaking Stigmas: Let's erase societal stigmas around women's health.💟 Passionate About Women's Health In my journey, I've been driven by a deep passion for women's health. My goal is to contribute to a world where every woman can navigate her health choices confidently.💡 Let's Collaborate!Share your thoughts on women's autonomy in health and the initiatives you're involved in. Let's create a future where women's voices and choices are respected. 💬#WomensAutonomy #WomensHealth #Empowerment #InformedDecisions #BreakTheStigma #NewBeginnings

💖 Join me in celebrating National Women's Health Week! 🩺As the local Go Red for Women Director with the American Heart Association, every day I think about the importance of women's health. Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. While it kills more women than all forms of cancer combined, only 44% of womenrecognize that cardiovascular disease is their greatest health threatThe theme of #NationalWomensHealthWeek this year is "Empowering Women, Cultivating Health: Celebrating Voices, Wellness, and Resilience."The simple truth is- most cardiac and stroke events can be prevented through education and lifestyle changes, such as moving more, eating smart, and managing blood pressure. We know that women face unique health issues at every age and stage of their lives and education is critical to empowering women to be their own health advocates.I'm proud to share this video of a handful of incredible survivors and voices for women's heart health. Two really powerful lines in this video continue to stick with me:💬 "As I got older, I made the decision to put my health first so I could be there for all of my son's special firsts"💬 "I've made it this far, and I still have so much more I want to experience in life. That's why as I age and change, so do the ways I care for my heart health."When we come together and empower each other, women are unstoppable. Self-care is NOT selfish! Join me in spreading awareness and support for women's health this week and beyond. Together, we can make a difference!#NationalWomensHealthWeek #WomenEmpowerment #HealthEquity 🌺💪🏽🩺https://lnkd.in/erJ3Fr_s

In celebrating Women’s History Month, NorthBay Health invited a number of our strong female colleagues to share thoughts on a variety of topics. Today meet Mohua Mukherjee, Assistant Vice President of Revenue Cycle Services, who answers the question:Name three important qualities that women should have to be successful. Are they the same for men?Empathy is a critical quality that allows us to be able connect with our patients, team, peers and everyone we interact with. By understanding how our actions can and will impact others; allows us to problem solve and have meaningful collaboration towards our goal. Second quality is having an open mind towards diverse perspective. By opening ourselves up and being receptive to ideas from others can be truly help us grow our perspective. And finally, it is passion that will drive us to empathize, keeping an open mind, working hard towards our goal. We all can benefit greatly from the above. #NorthBayHealth #WomensHistoryMonth

This National Women's Health Week, let's shed light on a crucial issue: the lack of advancement in women's health within the medical field. 🩺It's time to break barriers and ensure that women receive the comprehensive, tailored healthcare they deserve. Together, let's raise awareness, demand equality, and prioritize women's health at every level. 💪 🩸 🎥: Anna Diblosi

👩⚕️Today is National Women Physicians Day, and I want to honor the nearly half a million female doctors in the U.S. Their dedication and commitment set a high standard for others to follow.👩🏽⚕️But it’s not enough to set aside a single day for #womenphysicians when they are helping patients, seeking to improve working conditions, and supporting their colleagues and families every day of the year. 👩🏿⚕️The best way to celebrate is to advocate for changes in our healthcare industry to break down barriers like the status quo and access to decision-makers that hold women back and often drive them out of the filed altogether.#BarrierstoWomen #WomeninMedicine #HealthcareLeaders #WomenPhysiciansDay #WomeninMedicine

We need to diversify #leadership like exemplified by #NewYork state #senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who is an Emma Willard School (EWS) alum.HER Heard, founded by EWS alum, Umbereen S. Nehal, MD, MPH, shares in this ethos of #empoweringwomen. We need both diverse identities and diverse lived experiences. “It takes a village.” That village includes women and everyone who supports her: family, friends, community, workplaces/employers, healthcare, society, etc. At #HERHeard, our founding team has both patients and caregivers as well as healthcare professionals, scientists, tech, and #AI experts. We do not compete with other #FemTech, rather build in the spaces that have a gap to create a more robust community and better connect from the mainstream to the margins globally. In an #ecosystem, you have “network effects” where 1 + 1 + 1 > 3. When we build businesses for collaboration, everyone wins. This is part of what Emma Willard teaches. There was no GPA to rank yourself against others, rather, to “compete” against your own potential with #growthmindset. We are developing the #HERd of support and the #data needed to change #womenshealth for the better. Specifically, “her story” can be turned into data that is “heard” by the system. We do need to elect more women, train and advanced more #womeninSTEM, and incubate and fund more #womenentrepreneurs. To achieve this we also need more men who are passionate about and committed to #empoweredwomen. When “women’s issues” are understood to be relevant to all of us, we will have succeeded. Alessandra Henderson for your #leadership in #menopause care.
