The B&R score is basically identical to Batman Forever, only lamer. No reason to have this whatsoever.

I disagree. While Goldenthal does indeed reuse and expanded on the themes, motifs and a few cues from the Forever score there is a wealth of new material and new themes in the Batman and Robin score that's makes it a fresh, exciting and engaging listen. The score is FAR from being lame.

I love Goldenthal's score to ALIEN 3.

But BATMAN FOREVER, BATMAN & ROBIN along with DEMOLITION MAN ranks on my Top 10 worst scores ever.

Would'nt want it evien if I got it for free.

There's a choral version of the action motif from DEMOLITION MAN during one part of BATMAN & ROBIN.

That, alone, makes it a worthwhile purchase.

Still, I'd rather have a complete MASK OF THE PHANTASM.

I can understand that these scores might not be to your tastes but to put them in your 10 top worst ever scores is a little naive. Goldenthal clearly has more compositional talent than some of the dross currently out there.

I'd definitely purchase an official 'Batman and Robin' score album...

Its a good score, despite there are tons of recycled material in B&R, there is also a lot of great new portions of music (most of them are from the cut scenes and some are just alternate cue versions). I think it's up to La la land really.

BATMAN & ROBIN is like 2003 A-Rod. On steroids! Only, unlike A-Rod, BATMAN & ROBIN isn't complete trash.

To say this score is a copy/paste is a travesty!

It needs to get released. It is full of new themes (Alfred's, Freeze, Poison Ivy) and YES, it repeats some motivs from Forever but it works very well.

This is possible Goldenthal biggest score.

Only if the Jai Winding arrangement of Poison Ivy comes with it! That piece sounded like it came straight from his work on Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour (Ivy's Gorilla striptease). Infact, I don't doubt that was the reason they hired Winding.

I'd buy one! (I'd be surprised if this happened. More likely, if we get anything at all, it'll be La-La Land releasing Batman & Robin or an expanded reissue of the first film.) I have no insider info; it's just a hunch.

I think this all stems form the recent announcement of the Animated series. Someone asked Lalaland (the guy with the orangoutang avatar) if they could release Batman & Robin and he simply replied "Okay"

What about a Mask of the Phantasm reissue? The chase cue from that is one of the finest superhero score tracks of all time.

I'm also a fan of the BATMAN & ROBIN score. In fact, I somewhat despise the score for part 3, but love part 4 for some reason. I can't explain that since there is a lot of overlap in thematic material, but the new material is great and the handling of the carry-over material was smoother than it had been the previous time.

Also, I'm one who thought that the third movie itself was complete junk. B&R wasn't really that much of a drop in quality for me as the series had already plunged into the s**tter well before that.

Absolutely! I love that cue--it has an incredible finale on it, too.

Even just a remaster would be great (I find the sound to be a bit lacking on the album), but a complete and remastered release would be INCREDIBLE! There's some great music missing, and even the unmentionable is still incomplete. And with LaLaLand having gotten to Warner Bros. for the animated series, and the MOTP album being out of print...hmmm...possible?
