An expensive, low-volume track-focused car such as this is rarely subjected to an official crash test, so the Porsche 911 GT3 RS's safety ratings aren't known. However, the GT3 RS is made to the same standards as other Porsches and should provide similar safety levels. For added peace of mind, a few driver assists can be optionally added, but due to its expected track use, none are fitted as standard. It does come with ABS, stability control, and six airbags as standard.

The GT3 RS comes with six airbags, and other federally mandated safety features such as ABS, stability control, a rearview camera, and tire-pressure monitoring are fitted. However, no additional driver assists are standard. The only ones on the options list are rear parking sensors ($610), traffic-sign recognition ($450), and - bundled together for $700 - rain-sensing wipers and three auto-dimming mirrors.

For a specialist sports car such as this, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS's reliability is expected to be above average. Even though this specific model has not been evaluated separately, the 911 range as a whole has excellent JD Power ratings of 86 out of 100 overall and 85 for Quality & Reliability. So far, there has been only one recall for the 2023 GT3 RS and that was for an improperly deploying airbag. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS's warranty offers good coverage. The limited standard and paint warranties are both valid for four years/50,000 miles, and the corrosion warranty runs for 12 years/unlimited miles. Maintenance is covered for the first year or 10,000 miles.
